Florentine Crepes

Make Valentine’s Day more special for your loved ones with this romantic dish.
 


Ingredients:

Crepes:

  • 3 pcs eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup flour                             
  • ½ tsp salt                                 
  • 1 cup milk

Béchamel sauce:

  • ¼ cup    butter                             
  • ¼ cup flour                             
  • 1 ¼ cup milk                                       
  •  ½ tsp    salt                                 
  •  ¾ cup parmesan cheese   


Filling:                   

  • ¼ kg spinach, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup    mushrooms, drained           
  • 1 bar Kraft Eden MeltSarap cheese, grated

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
  2. Prepare the crepe batter by combining flour, eggs, salt and milk.  Beat until smooth and let stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Pour ¼ cup batter into a greased frying pan.  Cook each crepe until the underside is slightly brown.  Set aside.


For the Béchamel sauce, combine flour, milk, margarine, salt and parmesan cheese in a saucepan on medium heat.  Stir slowly until the sauce thickens.   Set aside a portion as topping.

Add spinach, mushrooms and handful of grated Kraft Eden MeltSarap to the Béchamel sauce.  Stir for 2-3 minutes.  

Fill each crepe with the cheesy spinach sauce.  Roll up or make into a parcel and arrange in a baking dish.  Top with the remaining sauce and grated Kraft Eden MeltSarap. 

Bake in your preheated oven for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese topping melts.  Serve while hot.
